Peruvian Food Blessing

The guacamole was amazing!! Also the GF beef enchilada was so nice- great flavor! This is a wonderful family owned business- good people- come out and support them!

Just left after having maybe the best date of my life. Amazingly friendly and attentive service added to our fantastic night. The ceviche with leche de Tigre was out of this world, and I’ve had fresh conch ceviche on the beach in Belize. This blew that out of the water.

Needed some ceviche in my life. Found this place on my way home. Ceviche was 10/10. The hot sauce had the right amount heat. The service was superb. Thankful to have found this gem. Take the time, stop by and enjoy some delicious food and lovely service.

This is one of those true hole-in-the-wall gems, and I’m so glad we decided to stop and try it. The food did not disappoint. The leche de tigre was fresh, bright, and perfectly balanced. The tallarín saltado and anticucho were both incredibly tasty and satisfying. While it’s not a fancy place, it’s exactly the kind of mom-and-pop spot you don’t want to miss if you’re in Gainesville. We were passing through on our way to the Panhandle and decided to stop for dinner and I can’t believe I’d never been here before. One of the coolest moments was running into a fellow Peruvian who still speaks Quechua. That alone made the experience feel extra special. We’ll definitely be back.

Amazing! I’m from Peru and I was very surprised by the resemblance in taste, the atmosphere and service! I don’t know how they managed to get their hands on the perfect ingredients to get the taste so accurately. I had pollo a la brasa and anticuchos for 28 de Julio. The prices were honestly very good for how good it was (specially the pollo a la brasa), the atmosphere and the amount. I can perfectly picture this restaurant in a random alley in Lima. They also sell some stuff like sauces, chifles, bracelets, paintings, and choclo morado to make chicha at home at decent prices. Maybe the only thing I can say is that I had to wait like 15 minutes to get served but it was completely worth it, and the potatoes next to the anticuchos weren’t to my taste but that’s probably just me! Everything else tasted amazing tho. They were also playing popular music from Peru which added to the experience. I’ll definitively be coming back many many more times :)
